Full-Time Maintenance Technician – Property Management
Location: Wells, Maine
Pay: $28.00 per hour
Schedule: Year-Round, Full-Time
We are a family-owned property management company in Wells seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plumbing repairs, electrical fixture replacements, and seasonal property upkeep. This position requires a detail-oriented and friendly individual who can interact professionally with tenants and property owners while handling diverse responsibilities. The role offers year-round stability, competitive pay, and full benefits, with a Monday-Friday schedule in winter and required weekends in the summer. There may also be occasional on-call responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, siding repairs, drywall patching, and apartment turnovers
- Replace electrical fixtures and perform general repairs
- Complete landscaping tasks, power washing, and seasonal property upkeep
- Clean and maintain pools (willingness to obtain pool certification required)
- Record and track daily tasks electronically through work order systems
- Operate large vehicles safely, including those with trailers; snowplowing and shoveling required in the winter
- Interact professionally with tenants and property owners
- Adapt to various responsibilities based on property management needs
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience in maintenance, construction, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of household systems, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
- Ability to use a smartphone for taking photos, messaging, and work order tracking
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs, work in hot or cold temperatures, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Willingness to complete a pool certification course if required
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
