We’re looking for a Full-Time Head Cleaner to join our team!

Maine Street Property Management is property management company based out of Wells, Maine, with various cleaning needs from vacation rental cleaning, long term rental turnovers, housekeeping of private homes, and commercial style cleaning.

This position will be the first full time hire in this department, and we are looking for someone who is interested in growing with the company.

We are looking for someone with experience, extreme attention to detail and strong work ethic. This position would assist with leading and training our part-time, seasonal cleaners (usually about 40 to 50 people in the summer) for our vacation rental business.

Our goal with our cleaning department is ensuring that our houses are always presented in pristine condition. This role will also be a point person with “checking” after other cleaners and reporting back to the Vacation Rental Operations Manager. This position will take lead on managing our stock room of linens and cleaning products and helping setup for our busy weekend summer turnovers.

Days working will fluctuate, and weekends are required, as needed, especially in the summer.

Pay is $25/hour plus benefits.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist with appropriate training of new cleaners (most with no experience)
  • Assess team performance and provide feedback and coaching, report to Vacation Rental Manager
  • Inspect interior and exterior of homes to ensure they meet company standards
  • Motivate team members
  • Perform routine inspection and document maintenance issues
  • Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs
  • Ability to clean to a luxury standard
  • Organizational skills and process oriented
  • Prepping linens, cleaning supplies and gift baskets for turnovers
  • Monitor inventory and inspect cleaning equipment
  • Assist management with daily operations
  • Follow all health and safety regulations

We’re looking for a Part-time Summer Bookkeeper to join our team!

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team this summer. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate has experience in bookkeping and possesses strong attention to detail, and is proficient in bookkeeping software.

Most of the help we are looking for is entering charges and expenses, scanning/downloading/attaching receipts, reconciliations, and potentially some accounts receivable.

We use Buildium, a property management software, to do our accounting. It is very intuitive and would be easy for someone who knows Quickbooks.

We are looking to pay $25/hour and are expecting around 20 hours per week. Hours will be as-needed and depend on workload and capabilities. We are somewhat flexible on days and hours. Work would need to be performed onsite at our office in Wells.

Skills:

– Strong knowledge of public accounting principles and practices

– Proficiency in bank reconciliation processes

– Ability to perform account reconciliations effectively

– Attention to detail in maintaining accurate records

– Proficiency in using bookkeeping software

We’re looking for a Flexible Open-Shift Cleaner to join our team!

We are looking for individuals who are interested in flexible cleaning opportunities. We post open cleaning shifts and if it works with your schedule, you can pick up the shift! There are no required shifts, just ones that you choose to pickup!

We often have cleaning needs during turnovers on our yearly and weekly rental properties that occur during the week and weekends. We also have several clients who enjoy regular cleanings. Cleaning would be in both furnished and unfurnished homes.

We provide supplies, and training to the right person.

We are based in Wells, and most of our properties are in Wells/Kennebunk/Ogunquit, however we do service some locations up to 30 minutes away from Wells.

Pay $22-$25/hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Dust, sweep, vacuum, and mop general areas
  • Clean bathrooms, sinks, toilets, showers, and tubs and ensure bathrooms are sanitary
  • Strip beds and change linens
  • Wash and put away dishes (if needed)
  • Perform routine inspection and document maintenance issues
  • Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
  • Follow all health and safety regulations

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to carry up to 50lbs
  • Integrity
  • Productivity and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to multitask and maintain a schedule
  • Transportation to our Office and then to the cleaning location.

We’re looking for a Saturday and/or Sunday Vacation Rental Cleaner to join our team!

We are looking for several people who want to make some extra money this summer! We are looking for cleaners for Fridays, Saturdays and/or Sundays between 9:45am and 4pm to clean our vacation rentals. We provide training and supplies.

We are based in Wells, and most of our properties are in Wells, Kennebunk, Ogunquit and York.

Pay range is $22-25 depending on capabilities.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Clean and stock vacation rentals
  • Dust, sweep, vacuum, and mop general areas
  • Clean bathrooms, sinks, toilets, showers, and tubs and ensure bathrooms are sanitary
  • Strip beds and change linens
  • Perform routine inspection and document maintenance issues
  • Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
  • Stock and maintain soft goods
  • Take out trash receptacles
  • Cooperate with the rest of the staff
  • Follow all health and safety regulations
  • Report and return any guest properties found in the rooms while rendering service

Requirements:

  • Productivity and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to multitask and maintain a schedule
  • Ability to work Fridays, Saturdays and/or Sundays between 10am-4pm

Our vacation rental homes are in Wells, Kennebunk, Ogunquit and York. This a part-time, temporary position through at least August, possibly September.
